In consideration of the covenants contained here, the lessor corporation (referred to as "Lessor") leases to the undersigned renter (referred to as "Renter"), upon the terms, covenants, and conditions set out below, the motor vehicle described (referred to as "Vehicle").

Acknowledgements

  1. The Renter acknowledges that the vehicle is the property of the Lessor and that it was received in good mechanical condition.
  2. The Renter agrees to return the vehicle to the Lessor’s station from which it was rented, in the same condition, ordinary wear and tear excepted, on or before the return date stated, or sooner upon demand by the Lessor.
  3. The Renter agrees not to:
    • Use the vehicle to transport persons for hire.
    • Use the vehicle in violation of any law or regulation.
    • Remove the vehicle from the state without written consent from the Lessor.
  4. The Renter agrees to rent the vehicle at their own risk. Any injuries to the Renter or passengers are the Renter’s responsibility.
  5. The Renter is responsible for any illegal luggage or traffic offenses committed during possession.
  6. Repairs by unqualified or roadside mechanics are not allowed.
  7. The Renter is not allowed to travel outside the city without informing the Lessor.
  8. The Renter must provide valid personal identification, such as a passport, driver’s license, and employer reference.
  9. The company reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or terminate a contract without assigning any reason.
  10. The Renter agrees to comply with the insurance policy terms covering the vehicle.

 

Insurance

  1. All vehicles are comprehensively insured, including passenger legal liability.
  2. The Renter agrees to compensate the insurance provider and the Lessor for injuries or damages sustained, limited to a maximum of $500.
  3. The Renter is liable for any accidental damages below $500. In the event of a major accident:
  • The Renter must report the matter to the police and obtain reports PF90 and PF115.
  • Failure to report to the police will result in the Renter bearing full damage costs.
  • The Renter must immediately notify the Lessor.
  1. The Renter agrees to compensate the Lessor $500 for loss of business if the damaged vehicle is under repair due to the Renter’s fault.

 

Additional Costs

  1. Additional charges (e.g., breakdown services) will be based on location and distance. The Renter covers legal charges and damages.
  2. Damages to wheels, tires, and loss of tools or accessories are not covered by insurance and will be charged to the Renter.
  3. Repairs caused by misuse or damage outside of normal wear and tear will be billed to the Renter.
  4. The Renter is responsible for all parking fees and extra charges.
  5. Out-of-town usage may incur different tariffs. Usage exceeding 100 km will be charged additionally.
  6. Chauffeur overtime charges: $1.50/hour. Additional $4 after 9 PM for transport.
  7. A refundable deposit of $300 is required for out-of-city usage. It will be returned within 2 days after vehicle inspection. Any damages will be deducted from this amount.
  8. For rentals in Zanzibar, an additional $20 will be charged for a permit.
